Follow the 2009 National Environmental Public Health Conference on Twitter!
The planning committee of the 2009 NEPHC is using Twitter, the popular micro-blogging site, to keep conference attendees connected to important information, updates about the conference, and more!
What is Twitter? Twitter is a free social media tool for staying connected in real-time.
Wikipedia describes it this way:
"Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates, known as tweets, which are text posts no more than 140 characters long."
Why are we using Twitter during the 2009 NEPHC?
We are looking for creative ways to communicate with attendees during this year's conference. It's one of our "green" initiatives for the conference. Other green plans for the meeting include using less paper, offering on-site recycling, hosting a Green Expo, and more! Twitter is great as a "green" communication tool.
We highly recommend using Twitter during the conference to stay informed and up to date!
