Abstract Submission Deadline: March 21, 2008
We are accepting abstracts for posters to be presented during the 2008 Protein Structure Initiative "Bottlenecks" Workshop. Abstracts should be submitted as an MS Word document attached to an e-mail and should be directed to the logistical contractor, Stephanie Blaine, Meetings Manager, TeamPSA, at sblaine@jb-llc.com
Instructions for Abstracts:
- The abstract should include: TITLE (60 characters in capitals), topical category (see below), authors, affiliation, and a concise narrative of the research described in the poster. The entire abstract, including text and graphics, should occupy one page in standard font at 12 pitch.
- The majority of the platform program for the workshop will consist of oral presentations selected from poster contributions. The description in the abstract should be specific and complete enough to permit the organizing committee to judge suitability the poster presentation for promotion to the oral session.
- PSI-2 Centers are encouraged to present "Center Posters" as overviews, but will NOT be required to give oral overview presentations. Rather, the organizers are seeking focused and practical abstracts for consideration as oral presentations for the following six topical sessions (1) "Homology Modeling", (2) "Targeting for Success", (3) "High-throughput Magnetic Resonance Methods", (4) "Data, Databases and Knowledge", (5) "Traditional Bottlenecks", and (6) "The Really Hard Stuff". Authors of poster abstracts should nominate their offering in one of these six categories or (7) "Other".
- Persons submitting abstracts will be expected to present a poster and may be asked to present an oral presentation. The organizing committee will communicate with the first named author as primary contact for all matters including posters selected for oral presentation. Notification will be provided during the week of March 31, 2008.
Submission and Review Process:
Submit your abstract as an MS Word attachment in an e-mail to sblaine@jb-llc.com. E-mail confirmation of your submission will be provided immediately after your submission is received. Please title your email subject line: Abstract Protein Initiative.
Abstracts received on or before the receipt deadline of COB, March 21, 2008, will be reviewed by the workshop organizing committee. Notice of acceptance and promotion of the poster to the oral program will be provided by Dr. Charles Edmonds via e-mail to the first author on the abstract during the week of March 31, 2008 but in no case later than COB April 4, 2008.
