The ERCLC planning staff invites state laboratorians to submit proposals to present on state biomonitoring programs/projects during the midday session on Biomonitoring Day, Friday, March 16, 2007. This session's unique format will allow for interaction among the speakers, audience participants and CDC experts in various biomonitoring application. All presenters should structure their 10-15 minute sessions by first outlining a state/local biomonitoring program's theory and design. Each presenter will close their talk by posing a question or problem with their program's execution and request audience feedback. Session participants will troubleshoot the scenario and offer similar experiences and their solutions, as well as brainstorm innovative ideas to overcome the scenario's obstacle.
To propose an abstract for consideration, email the following information to CDCChemLab@team-psa.com by 5:00 p.m. (Eastern), Wednesday, February 21, 2007. All proposals will receive acceptance feedback by February 28, 2007.
- Presenter's name, state, position
- 1 paragraph description of biomonitoring program
- Obstacle(s) to be discussed in brainstorming session
- How using your biomonitoring scenario for this exercise may be useful to audience participants
