WELCOME!

Thank you for visiting the Changing Faces of Health Education and Health Promotion Web site! Please use this site as a resource for all conference-related information, including registration and agenda updates.

The conference theme, "Changing the Face of Health Education and Health Promotion" focuses on breaking down sub-categories within the profession such as infectious vs. chronic, global health vs. domestic health that serve as barriers to progress. This conference will encourage re-conceptualizing health education and health promotion programs, research and practice to cross over professional boundaries and seek an integrated approach to solving health education challenges.

Once again CDC, DHPE and SOPHE join together to offer an exciting conference for health professionals in both academic and practice settings. Four theme areas include:
  • Research Translation
  • Global Health Education and Health Promotion
  • Institutionalization for Health Education Programs
  • Health Disparities
This conference is geared toward a wide variety of professionals in health-related careers including: Health Educators, Program Directors, Health Consultants, Nurses, Physicians, Nutritionists, Health Promotion Researchers, Academic Faculty, and Health and Human Services Personnel. Conference attendees represent leaders in health and academic settings, focusing on health promotion for disease prevention. We anticipate that the conference will draw between 400 to 500 leading health professionals from government, business, medical care settings, managed care organizations, non-profit health associations, schools, health care organizations, community agencies, higher education, and international health.

Please note that EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER to attend this meeting. Space is limited, so do register as soon as possible.
