Congressional Gold Medal to the 100th Infantry  Battalion

Welcome to the registration site for the National Veterans Network's Congressional Gold Medal Celebration in Washington, D.C. 
The National Veteran Network congratulates the100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team and Military Intelligence Service (MIS) on the awarding of the Congressional Gold Medal. We look forward to celebrating this occasion with you on November 1-3, 2011.
This is the registration site for the 1,250 honorees who have received notification that they are an honoree for this celebration. Please use this registration site to sign up for events organized by the National Veterans Network and to make hotel reservations at the Washington Hilton. In order to participate in any of the below events, each veteran family must register themselves and their guests on the event registration page. Please take a moment to carefully read the information below as there are different attendance guidelines for each event.
National WWII Memorial Event - November 1, 2011

Congressional Gold Medal honorees, as defined below, are invited to attend the National World War II Memorial event. Please RSVP on the Event Registration Page.

Please note that the change in venue from the National World War II Memorial to the Washington Hilton Hotel due to weather concerns. All honorees and their families are invited to attend the presentation. A special presentation will be made by the Army Chief of Staff (invited) to present 50 bronze star medals to 100th Infantry Battalion and 442nd RCT veterans. Following the event, all veterans and next of kin representatives who wish to attend will be transported by bus to the National World War II Memorial for a brief visit.  All veterans who travel to Washington DC via Honor Flight are required to visit the National WWII Memorial.

Congressional Gold Medal Gala Dinner  - November 2, 2011
Congressional Gold Medal honorees, as defined below, are invited to be the National Veterans Network's special guests at the Gala Dinner. All others, including guests of honorees can purchase a ticket at $175.00 each. Space is limited to 2500. Everyone including those who are complimentary must register on the Event Registration Page. Priority registration will be given to the honorees and will be on a first come first serve basis. Deadline for honorees and guests is October 14, 2011.

All living veterans will recive a free Congressional Gold Medal replica due to the generous sponsorship of Cole Chemicals. Instructions for pick-up will be provided upon your arrival.

Japanese American Memorial to Patriotism - November 3, 2011

NVN encourages visits to the Japanese American Memorial to Patriotism to pay respect to the 800 soldiers who were killed in the line of duty during the hours noted below. Flowers and etchings will be made available near the KIA wall. Docents will be available to answer questions about the history of the Memorial.

KIA families will be invited to a private ceremony on November 3, 2011 in remembrance of their loved ones. Invitations will be mailed directly to the family members of KIA. Invited family members must register on the Event Registration Page. Space is limited to 300.
Registration Fee & Bus Transportation & Wheelchairs

In support of National Veterans Network's effort to provide this historical opportunity to more than 3,000 individuals who will come to the Nation's Capital, we will be asking for a registration fee of $25 per person.

For those who are invited to the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony and National WWII Memorial events, a two-day bus pass will be required. This will ensure that honorees will be checked-in, pass security and be seated by military escorts at both events in a timely manner.

The two-day bus pass is $35/person. Bus transportation will depart from and return to the Washington Hilton. Registration fees and bus passes can be paid by visiting the Event Registration Page.

For those who require wheelchairs please bring our own wheelchairs. Motorized wheelchairs will not be allowed. If you require ADA assistance for the bus transportation, please contact us in advance at

Washington Hilton Hotel

The Washington Hilton will serve as the Congressional Gold Medal Headquarters during the three-day celebration. The registration check-in, gala dinner, hospitality, bus transportation and live broadcast will take place at the Washington Hilton. Note: this is not the registration for the Congressional Gold Medal Ceremony. The registration for the Congressional Ceremony closed on August 8th for next of kin of deceased veterans and August 20, 2011 for veterans, widows and next of kin of KIA. Cancellation Policy for NVN-related events
Effective Immediately - October 5, 2011

The Registration fee of $25 is non-refundable

Cut-off dates:

Midnight, October 19, 2011 -- Last day to cancel bus tickets and dinner tickets and receive a full refund.

Between October 19 and midnight Oct. 23, 2011 -- 50% refund on bus tickets and dinner tickets if cancellation occurs by midnight, Oct. 23.

October 24, 2011 -- No refunds after October 24, 2011. Bus tickets and dinner tickets are non-refundable.
